Test Company A is recruiting a Carpenter for our premises at 1 Long Road, Cork. We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Carpenter to join our construction team, working on various residential and commercial projects. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-standard building works in a dynamic environment. The salary range starts from €40,000 (€19.23/hr) based on a 40-hour week. Salary may be more depending on experience and proficiency, with increases proportionate to additional hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing both first fix and second fix carpentry tasks, including reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, constructing timber frames, fitting doors, installing kitchens, and performing finishing work. As part of our team, you will work on-site at various locations, adhering to strict safety regulations and quality standards. The work environment is primarily outdoor construction sites, requiring physical fitness and awareness of safety protocols. You will have access to modern tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, and safety gear, ensuring efficient and safe work operations. The role may involve occasional travel between sites within Cork and surrounding areas, with some work conducted on weekends or evenings depending on project needs. Training is provided in-house, with opportunities for further professional development and career progression within our expanding company. Responsibilities include ensuring structural integrity, troubleshooting on-site issues, maintaining a clean and safe work area, attending site meetings, and collaborating effectively with other trades and project managers. Candidates must have a valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification, with experience in residential and commercial carpentry preferred. Good knowledge of safety regulations, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills are essential. The role may require working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend shifts.
