ABC Construction is recruiting a Carpenter for our premises located at 1Long Road, City, State, Ireland. The salary range starts from €40,000 (€19.23/hr) based on a 40-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. The Carpenter role is essential within our dynamic construction team, responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship across various residential and commercial projects. The main purpose of this role is to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures according to engineering specifications and blueprints. The work involves detailed framing, drywall installation, finishing work, and collaborating with architects and clients to ensure project requirements are met. Our carpenters work in a busy environment, often on-site at different locations, utilizing a variety of hand tools and power equipment safely. Tasks also include reading technical drawings, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring adherence to relevant building codes and safety standards. As projects often involve tight deadlines, effective time management and teamwork are vital. The role may require travel between multiple construction sites, with some work outside normal hours during peak periods. Comprehensive training is provided, and there are opportunities for career advancement within our expanding company. **Responsibilities:** - Specialize in framing, drywall installation, and finishing work for residential and commercial projects. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project specifications. - Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans accurately. - Utilize power tools and hand tools efficiently while following safety protocols. - Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. - Supervise and train junior carpenters and apprentices to enhance team skills. - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials. - Perform on-site measurements, cut materials, and assemble structures. - Keep accurate records of project progress and any issues encountered. - Assist in material selection, ordering, and inventory management. - Conduct routine inspections and perform simple maintenance on tools and equipment. **Key Requirements:** - Diploma in Carpentry or equivalent qualification. - Proficient in residential and commercial carpentry techniques. - Strong knowledge of building regulations, safety standards, and OSHA guidelines. - Experience with power tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring instruments. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - First Aid/CPR Certification. - Good physical fitness for manual handling and working in various weather conditions. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients. - Valid work permit/license if applicable. **Additional Information:** - Overtime rates may apply during busy periods. - Work involves travel to multiple construction sites. - The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. - Benefits include ongoing training, opportunities for progression, and a collaborative work environment. - Safety gear and tools are provided, and safety protocols must be followed at all times. - The role offers excellent prospects for development within the construction industry. **Published Date:** 2026-02-26
