MSL Motor Group is recruiting a Service Advisor for our premises at North Circular Road, North City Business Park, Dublin 11, Ireland. The salary range starts from €54,000 (€27.69/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required.
As a Service Advisor, your primary role will be to act as the main point of contact between customers and the service department. You will be responsible for managing customer vehicle bookings, understanding customer needs, and communicating repair requirements effectively with the technical team. The work environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-focused, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills. You will use industry-standard workshop management software and DMS systems to input and track service information. The role may involve liaising with suppliers and parts departments, so familiarity with automotive parts systems is beneficial. Some travel within Dublin for customer visits or meetings may be necessary, and shift patterns are generally weekday office hours, with occasional weekend coverage. Training opportunities are available to enhance product and customer service skills, supporting career progression within our dealership network.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet customers and record vehicle concerns accurately.
- Schedule service appointments and advise on vehicle servicing needs.
- Liaise with the workshop team to ensure timely vehicle repairs.
- Provide cost estimates and explain repair procedures clearly.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and vehicle history.
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status and feedback.
- Promote additional services and warranty products.
- Ensure showroom and service area meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Handle billing, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Manage customer follow-ups and satisfaction surveys.
- Maintain knowledge of current automotive service standards.
- Support parts department with customer queries when needed.
- Assist in inventory management related to customer parts requirements.
- Prepare reports on service department performance.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workshop environment.
- Engage in ongoing training on new automotive technologies.
- Support team efforts to meet departmental targets.
**Key Requirements:**
- Valid driving license.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar role (preferably in a dealership environment).
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and workshops.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in workshop management software and Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English.
- Demonstrable team spirit and motivation.
