Construction Demo is recruiting a Scaffolder for our premises at 12 Temple Crescent, Monkstown, Ireland. The salary range starts from €70,000 (€34.94/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. The Scaffolder role involves the assembly, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding structures at various construction sites. You will work primarily on commercial and residential projects, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. The work environment is dynamic and requires a high level of attention to detail, teamwork, and safety awareness. You will be operating various scaffolding tools and equipment, such as tube and coupler systems, mobile towers, and safety harnesses. The job may involve working at heights and in challenging weather conditions. Travel to different construction sites across Monkstown and surrounding areas is required, with the possibility of some overnight stays for distant projects. The role requires a good understanding of relevant safety standards, such as TG20 and NASC guidelines. Training in the latest scaffolding techniques and safety procedures will be provided, and ongoing development opportunities are available. The position offers a career path into supervisory roles or specialized scaffolding tasks. Responsibilities: - Assemble, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications. - Conduct safety inspections of scaffolding before and after installation. - Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations. - Use various scaffolding tools and equipment safely and effectively. - Read and interpret construction drawings and scaffolding plans. - Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate project timelines. - Maintain scaffolding equipment and report any defects. - Assist with site setup and cleanup. - Handle site documentation and safety registers. - Supervise junior team members when necessary. - Perform regular risk assessments and ensure site safety. Key Requirements: - Valid CISRS Card or equivalent scaffolding certification. - Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in scaffolding. - Good knowledge of health and safety regulations related to scaffolding. - Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. - Strong physical fitness and manual handling skills. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. - Full UK/EU driving license (Category B preferred). - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required. - Safety awareness and commitment to high standards.
