Autoglass® Ireland is recruiting a Motor Vehicle Technician for our premises at Unit G9 Calmount Avenue, Ballymount Drive, Ballymount, Dublin, D12V3W4.
The salary range starts from €34,615 (€16.77/hr) based on a 40-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required.
Our business is the market leader in Vehicle Glass Repair, Replacement, and Recalibration (VGRRR) services across Ireland. We are seeking talented and friendly technicians to join our team. As a Motor Vehicle Technician, your main purpose will be to repair and replace vehicle glass to the highest standards, utilizing industry-leading technology and tools. The role involves working in either our depots or out on-site meeting customers at their homes or places of work. Daily activities include replacing windshields, side and rear windows, and calibrating advanced driver-assistance systems.
Work in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes precision, safety, and customer satisfaction. Equipment used may include calibration devices, glass removal tools, and diagnostic systems. Preferred work conditions are indoor workshops with some outdoor activities during site visits. The role may require occasional travel to different customer locations in Dublin and surrounding areas. We provide comprehensive training, including ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation), to ensure our technicians meet industry standards. **Responsibilities:**
- Repair or replace vehicle glass efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Calibrate vehicle safety systems using industry-specific tools.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify repair needs.
- Use calibration equipment and other diagnostic tools.
- Communicate clearly with customers and support staff.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and replacements.
- Follow health and safety procedures during all tasks.
- Collaborate with customer service teams for scheduling and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep abreast of technological advancements in vehicle glass and calibration.
- Support team members in achieving departmental goals.
**Key Requirements:**
- Full EU Driver's Licence (Class B) is essential.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake sponsored training and qualifications.
- No specific minimum educational qualifications required, but safety and manual handling awareness are beneficial.
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
- Experience in automotive repair or similar roles is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
**Additional Information:**
- The position includes assistance finding accommodation, with up to €500 per person per month for the first 6 months.
