Construction Demo is recruiting a Carpenter for its premises at 19 Lower Baggot Street, Monkstown, Ireland. Our company specializes in residential and commercial construction projects, offering skilled craftsmanship and reliable service. The salary range starts from €70,000 (€33.65/hr) based on a 40-hour week. Salary may be higher depending on experience and expertise, and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Our carpenters are vital to the success of our projects, responsible for building frameworks, installing fixtures, and finishing carpentry tasks. The work involves precise measurements, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, metal, and composite materials. You will work on-site in dynamic environments, often at heights requiring adherence to strict safety protocols. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and safety, with all safety equipment provided, including harnesses, helmets, and gloves. As a carpenter, you will use a range of tools such as saws, drills, levels, and chisels. You may need to travel between various project sites around Dublin, so flexibility is essential. The role involves manual labor, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and sometimes working in adverse weather conditions. Training will be provided on company-specific protocols and advanced techniques. There are opportunities for career advancement into supervisory roles and specialized project work. **Responsibilities:** 1. Read and interpret building plans and specifications to determine materials and work sequences. 2. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring precision for fitting. 3. Cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand and power tools. 4. Install fixtures, doors, windows, and cabinetry according to specifications. 5. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company quality standards. 6. Collaborate with other trades to coordinate project timelines and quality. 7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, disposing of waste materials properly. 8. Inspect completed work for accuracy and adherence to plans. 9. Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed. 10. Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and stored properly. **Key Requirements:** - Valid Construction Skills Register or equivalent certification. - At least 1 year experience in carpentry or masonry. - Good knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and regulations. - Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. - Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks. - Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required. - Excellent communication skills. - Commitment to health and safety protocols.
