Adamsky test company is recruiting a Plumber for our premises at 15 O'Connell St, Dublin, Ireland.
The salary range starts from €35,000 (€17.31/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required.
We are seeking a skilled Plumber with extensive experience in residential and commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems, be able to read blueprints and schematics accurately, and demonstrate leadership qualities to supervise junior staff. The work environment involves outdoor and indoor work with varied conditions, often requiring on-site problem-solving.
Our plumbers use high-quality tools such as pipe wrenches, soldering torches, drills, and diagnostic equipment to ensure efficient work. The role may involve travel to different sites within Dublin or nearby areas, sometimes requiring overnight stays for projects or maintenance tasks. Shift patterns are generally daytime, but occasional evening or weekend work might be necessary to meet project deadlines.
Training in health and safety, technical updates, and customer service is provided regularly, with opportunities for career progression into supervisory or specialist roles within the company.
**Responsibilities:**
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide prompt, lasting solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Supervise or mentor junior plumbers and apprentices to promote skill development.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and legal regulations.
- Keep accurate service records, customer documentation, and work logs.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Manage emergency repairs effectively while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Handle materials and supplies efficiently, ensuring proper use and inventory control.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to remain compliant with industry standards.
**Key Requirements:**
- Safe Pass certification is required; manual handling training is necessary.
- At least 8 years of experience in plumbing with a proven track record.
- Valid and active plumbing license or registration.
- Good knowledge of building regulations and plumbing codes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.
- Good physical condition, capable of manual handling and working in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
