As a Maintenance Facilities Fitter, your main responsibility will be to deliver electrical maintenance and system repair services essential for the seamless operation of our client's engineering facilities. You will be involved in routine inspections, troubleshooting electrical failures, and performing preventive maintenance on electrical components and systems. The work environment is primarily within a large industrial facility, with safety protocols strictly enforced. Technicians will utilize a variety of tools, testers, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs and maintenance.
Your daily activities will include inspecting electrical installations, ensuring compliance with Irish safety standards, and documenting maintenance and repairs. The role may require occasional travel to other site locations or supplier facilities for equipment servicing or troubleshooting.
Work shifts are scheduled to ensure continuous operation, with flexible options for night or weekend work where needed. You will receive comprehensive training on company-specific procedures and safety standards, and there are clear pathways for advancement within the company.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, motor controls, and distribution panels.
2. Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions promptly.
3. Conduct inspections and tests to detect system issues proactively.
4. Ensure all electrical work complies with Irish regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
5. Assist in installing new electrical infrastructure for various projects.

9. Assist with equipment calibration and testing as required.

**Key Requirements:**
- Valid Safe Pass certification is required.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of Irish electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition, capable of manual handling and working in confined spaces.
