A leading company in Engineering is recruiting an Engineer for our premises at 12 Temple Crescent, Dublin 4, Ireland. The salary range starts from €63,442 (€20.48/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, and sustainability. This role involves project management, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The work environment involves a combination of office-based design work and site visits for installation and testing. You will work with advanced electrical design software, testing equipment, and safety tools. Travel might be required to client sites or project locations, especially for installation or commissioning phases. The role may involve occasional shifts or overtime, especially when deadlines are looming, but the standard hours are 39 per week.

### Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for various projects.
- Perform detailed calculations to ensure electrical system designs are safe and compliant with standards.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate electrical designs.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with regulations and standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Participate in project planning, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate on innovative solutions to improve electrical system efficiency.
- Maintain quality assurance and safety protocols during all project phases.
### Key Requirements:
- Safe Pass safety certification (not specifically required but preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical standards and regulations.
- 2+ years experience in electrical engineering or related fields (preferred).
- Good knowledge of electrical design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to travel for site visits.
- Technical qualifications such as a Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Physical fitness for site visits and on-site work.
