Plant Fitter

Quarry and Mining Equipment Ltd t/a QME Mining and Tunnelling are currently recruiting Plant Fitters to join their team at Coolfore Road, Ardbraccan, Navan, County Meath, Ireland, expanding the maintenance team.

The role is suitable for motivated individuals who are capable of working with complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems in a fast-paced underground mining environment.

The salary ranges from €45,000 (€21.63 per hour) to €65,000 (€31.25 per hour) based on a 40-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Job Functions: • Carry out preventative, emergency, and predictive maintenance of all mobile equipment throughout the fleet. • Troubleshoot with respect to the repair of all mobile equipment, whilst ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum. • Maintain a high standard of Health & Safety during maintenance work. • Complete all required documentation accurately.

Requirements

Experience working on Epiroc, Normet, Sandvik, and Underground Mining Equipment. Trade certificate. At least 4 years’ experience in construction plant fitting/ Diesel mechanics. Full clean driving licence. Must be fluent in English, written and oral. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Computer Literate. Self-motivated and energetic. Be health & safety conscious. Work efficiently as part of a team and also on own initiative. Be willing to up-skill via on-the-job training
