A leading company in Engineering is recruiting a Maintenance Facilites Fitter for our premises at 12 Temple Crescent, Dublin 4. The salary range starts from €62,500 (€20.83/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. The Maintenance Facilites Fitter plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper maintenance and operational efficiency of our facilities. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various mechanical and electrical systems within our premises to ensure safety and reliability. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs, often requiring you to work in a dynamic environment that demands problem-solving skills and technical expertise. In this position, you will work across different areas of our facilities, utilizing a range of tools and equipment to identify issues and implement solutions efficiently. You may be required to coordinate with other teams and contractors during planned maintenance activities. The work environment is workshop and site-based, requiring adherence to health and safety regulations. The role involves physical activity, including lifting and handling equipment, and may involve working outside in varying weather conditions. Training is provided to ensure familiarity with our specific systems and safety protocols. There are opportunities for career progression within our company, including senior maintenance roles and specialized technical positions. Responsibilities: - Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. - Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical and mechanical equipment. - Conduct inspections and record maintenance activities accurately. - Oversee repairs and coordinate with external specialists when necessary. - Ensure all work complies with Irish health and safety standards. - Maintain safety documentation and reports. - Assist in installing or upgrading equipment and systems. - Support emergency maintenance procedures. - Keep workplace clean and organized. - Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training. - Collaborate with project managers on large maintenance projects. Key Requirements: - No specific license required but safe handling and maintenance certifications are a plus. - Preferably some experience in maintenance or facilities management. - Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. - Good understanding of health and safety regulations (HACCP, manual handling, etc.). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks. - Reliable, punctual, and proactive. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends. - Strong communication skills. Additional Information: - Overtime may be available and paid at enhanced rates. - Work involves outside and indoor environments. - Company provides necessary training and safety gear. - Opportunities for advancement in technical and supervisory roles.
