Creating Effective Job Listings
Your job posting is the first impression candidates have of your company. A well-crafted listing not only attracts qualified applicants but also ensures compliance with immigration requirements like the Labour Market Needs Test (LMNT).
Accessing the Job Creator
From your dashboard, click Jobs in the main navigation, then select Create New Job. You'll see our guided job creation wizard that walks you through each section.
Step 1: Basic Job Information

Use clear, searchable titles that candidates recognise. Avoid internal codes or abbreviations.

Bad: SE III, Culinary Specialist L2, RN-ICU-34
Job Type
Select the employment type:
- Full-time
- Part-time

Location
Specify where the role is based. For hybrid roles, indicate the office location and remote work policy.
Step 2: Role Description
Write a comprehensive description covering:
- Overview – 2-3 sentences about the role
- Key responsibilities – Use bullet points for clarity

Tips for International Candidates
- Mention visa sponsorship availability
- Include relocation support details
- Note if the role is eligible for work permits

Step 3: Compensation
Enter the salary range and any additional benefits. Transparent compensation attracts more qualified applicants and is required for certain permit types.
For Irish Employment Permits
- GEP minimum: €34,000 annually
- CSEP minimum: €38,000 (or €64,000 for non-critical skills list roles)
Step 4: LMNT Compliance (Ireland)
For General Employment Permits, jobs must be advertised for 28 days. When you publish your job:
1. Recruitroo automatically posts to our LMNT-compliant job board
2. The system tracks the 28-day advertising period
3. You'll receive a notification when you can proceed with permit applications
4. Download advertising evidence for your permit application
Step 5: Review and Publish
Preview your listing before publishing. Once live, your job will be:
- Visible to candidates in our database
- Matched with suitable profiles via AI
- Posted to relevant job boards (if selected)
- Tracked for LMNT compliance (if applicable)
Managing Your Jobs
From the Jobs dashboard, you can:
- Edit – Update details at any time
- Pause – Temporarily hide from candidates
- Duplicate – Create similar listings quickly

Your published jobs automatically match with candidates, and you'll receive notifications when strong matches are found.
