Motor Vehicle Technician

Tidy Mechanical Repairs requires multiple Motor Vehicle Technician roles for their premises at Kinsale Road, Ballycurreen, Cork, T12 X01Y.

The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €42,000 based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities: Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs. Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment and repair methods. Perform inspections and prepare vehicles for NCT tests. Replace or repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Complete all work in line with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Accurately record work carried out and parts used. Work collaboratively with service advisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance requirements.

Requirements: Essential: Fully qualified Motor Vehicle Technician (National Craft Certificate or equivalent apprenticeship). Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification workshop experience. Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills. Familiarity with modern vehicle systems and diagnostic software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards. Full, clean driving licence.
