Motor Vehicle Technician

MSL Motor Group requires multiple Motor Vehicle Technician roles for their premises at Pottery Road (Southern End), Dun Laoghaire, Eastgate Business Park, Little Island, Cork, T45 Y658 and 218 North Circular Rd, Dublin 7 D07 DXT8.

The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €54,000 (26.63/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking repairs on accident damaged vehicles, follow repair instructions, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise. The Technician must have excellent problem-solving skills, work well with others, be able to work independently, and have a strong knowledge of general bodywork repairs, must be in confident with panel work & paint preparation.

Responsibilities: Assess damage & carry out repairs to a high standard. Follow safety protocols when working with hazardous materials. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment. Notify foreman or office of any issues encountered with jobs Keeping on top of house maintenance Updating job packs on vehicles being worked on Being accountable for own work Work to set deadlines & perform under pressure.

Requirements: Certified Diagnostic Technician. High Voltage certification. Experience with diagnostic systems. In-depth understanding of wiring diagrams. Analytical approach to guided fault finding. Passion for the identification and repair of complex technical concerns. Full, valid and current driver’s license. Post qualification experience with a Mercedes-Benz main dealer would be an advantage.
