Kilkenny Cooling Systems is recruiting a Metal Sheet Worker for our premises at Hebron Road, Kilkenny. The salary range starts from €38,000 (€19.68/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. As a key member of our fabrication team, you’ll be responsible for precise sheet metal work, focusing on TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum components. Your daily activities will include interpreting technical drawings, applying welding techniques, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Your work environment will involve working in our manufacturing facility, utilizing modern fabrication equipment, and following strict safety protocols. Training on specific company procedures and safety certifications will be provided, supporting your ongoing professional development. The role involves physically demanding tasks, requiring good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Occasional travel may be required for on-site installations or project work. Responsibilities: - Fabricate and install custom sheet metal assemblies in accordance with project specifications. - Apply TIG welding and other joining techniques to stainless steel and aluminum. - Interpret technical drawings and generate CAD patterns for manufacturing. - Conduct quality checks on fabricated components and ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Operate fabrication machinery, including welders, shears, and presses. - Follow hot-work protocols and participate in safety audits. - Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and compliance documentation. - Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines. - Ensure a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety standards. - Assist with installation and site assembly as needed. Key Requirements: - Strong TIG welding experience with valid welding certification. - Proficient in reading technical drawings and working with CAD files. - Physical ability to perform manual handling and work in a physically demanding environment. - Knowledge of health and safety regulations, especially hot work protocols. - At least 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or related roles. - Good teamwork skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions. - Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours if required. - Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
