Machine Operative

Kilsaran Paving and Walling requires multiple Machine Operative roles for their premises at Piercetwown, Dunboyne, Dunboyne, Meath, A86W820.

The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €42,000 (20.71/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Job Description: Join Kilsaran as a Machine Operative at the Paving Production Plant in Piercetown, Dunboyne, Co. Meath. The role involves operating automated production plant equipment, monitoring and controlling production processes, carrying out general housekeeping and quality control, and ensuring full compliance with company Health & Safety policies. The position includes operation of forklift and grab trucks (training provided), loading product into stock bays and onto trucks, correct product labelling, and providing cover for loading shovels as required. Responsibilities: Demonstrate a lead-by-example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety and comply with company H&S policies, procedures and systems; report hazards and incidents; operate automated production plant and monitor/control elements of the production process; adhere to quality control standards and ensure production outputs meet quality requirements; perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties; operate forklift and grab trucks (training provided); ensure products are labelled correctly; load product into stock bays and load customer orders into picking locations and onto trucks; provide cover for loading shovels when required; perform other reasonable duties as requested by management. Shift work is involved.

Requirements: Experience working in production environments and with automated equipment is desirable. Mobile plant qualifications are desirable. Willingness to undertake training for forklift and grab truck operation. Good understanding of and commitment to health and safety practices. Ability to work shifts and perform physical tasks including loading and housekeeping. Attention to detail for labelling and quality control. Good teamworking skills and flexibility to carry out varied duties.
