The salary range starts from €34,000 (16.77/hr) to €54,000 (26.63/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications. The final salary offered may increase based on experience and/or proportionately to the agreed additional weekly working hours.
We are now recruiting for permanent full-time qualified Concrete Pump Operators.
Job Description:
As a concrete pump operator you will be responsible for driving the pump to and from job sites in a safe and conscientious manner. Once onsite your main function as operator is to control the operation of the pump and the output of concrete by directing the boom.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and comprehend the operation of a concrete pump as well as some basic mechanics that may be involved in order to keep the pump in good working condition. An operator must also have good customer-relation skills and the ability to problem solve under pressure. They should have good communication skills (English language essential) and enjoy working outdoors. This role requires a physically fit person that has good manual dexterity and the ability to lift and carry pipes and clamps.
Main Duties and Tasks:
Perform daily walk around checks every morning and record all defects. Know the pump well enough to recognise defects and problems. These checks MUST be carried out every day and all defects reported immediately to the Office Manager / onsite mechanics.
Report to management for daily schedule and job status.
Communicate promptly with management if uncertain about job instructions/ location etc.
Drive concrete pump trucks to and from each project site in a punctual and responsible manner.
Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Ensure that on arrival the job is safe to execute and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with customer and/or Manager and use disclaimers if necessary.
Handle customer issues effectively and courteously. Contact Manager for assistance if required.
Present a professional, customer service oriented attitude and display respect to customers at all times.
Evaluate site conditions and work with contractors or site managers to park/set up the truck properly.
Control the operation of the pump and the output of concrete by directing the boom.
Load and unload concrete pump attachments and ensure all associated tools are used in a safe manner.
Ensure all safety and precautionary measures are put in place before, during and after each project.
Ensure that the pump is ready for the next job.
Perform routine maintenance such as daily oiling and greasing of the truck. Maintain cleanliness of the truck, pump and all associated equipment.
Must be prepared to work late as some jobs may run over schedule.
Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.
Comply with the company’s Health and Safety Policy, highlighting any issues appropriately.
Act in accordance to the company’s Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices.
Any other reasonable duties you may be assigned by management.
