The Trusted Partner Initiative, explained for employers

If you hire from overseas more than once, Trusted Partner status cuts the paperwork on every future permit. Here's how it works and who it suits.

What Trusted Partner status does

The Trusted Partner Initiative lets employers register once so their company details don't have to be re-submitted and re-checked with every permit application. For a business hiring repeatedly, that removes duplicated employer paperwork and can shorten processing.

Who it suits

It's aimed at employers who hire internationally more than occasionally — for example a care group, a manufacturer or a hospitality group filing multiple permits a year. The registration is per employer, not per permit, so the benefit compounds with volume.

How Recruitroo uses it

We help eligible employers register as a Trusted Partner and then run every subsequent permit through the faster route, so repeat hiring gets quicker over time rather than starting from scratch each case.

Frequently asked questions

What is Trusted Partner status and how does it speed up permits?

It's an employer registration with DETE that means your company details are verified once rather than with every application, cutting duplicated employer paperwork and helping repeat permit applications move faster.

Which employers should apply for Trusted Partner status?

Any employer that expects to file more than the occasional permit — the registration is per company, so the more you hire, the more time it saves per case.
