Quarry and Mining Equipment Ltd t/a QME Mining and Tunnelling are currently recruiting CNC Operators to join their team at Coolfore Road, Ardbraccan, Navan, County Meath, Ireland.
The salary range is €36,605 (€18.05 per hour) to €64,000 (€31.56 per hour), based on a 39-hour working week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
CNC Operator sets up and operates computerized machines that precisely cut and shape metal or plastic parts by loading materials and tools, running pre-programmed instructions, and continuously monitoring the machine to ensure smooth operation. The operator inspects finished parts with measuring tools to verify exact specifications, performs routine maintenance like cleaning and tool changes, and troubleshoots any operational issues while following strict safety protocols and maintaining production records.
High school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with technical or vocational training in CNC operations, machining, or manufacturing being highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs. horough knowledge of workplace safety regulations and machine-specific safety protocols; ability to properly use personal protective equipment; understanding of lockout/tagout procedures; and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Strong attention to detail and focus; reliability and punctuality; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
