Cancellation Overview
We hope you won't need this guide, but if circumstances change, here's everything you need to know about cancelling your Recruitroo subscription.
Before You Cancel
Consider Alternatives
Downgrade instead:
- Move to a lower plan
- Maintain access with reduced features
- Keep your data and setup
Pause your subscription:
- Temporary hold (up to 3 months)
- Data preserved
- Resume when ready
Talk to us:
- Discuss concerns with your account manager
- We may be able to address issues
- Custom solutions for specific needs
Cancellation Process
Step 1: Access Settings
Navigate to Settings > Billing > Subscription
Step 2: Click Cancel
Select Cancel Subscription
Step 3: Provide Feedback
We'll ask why you're leaving:
- Help us improve
- Optional but appreciated
- Completely confidential
Step 4: Confirm
Review:
- Effective cancellation date
- What will happen to your data
- Final billing details
Click Confirm Cancellation
When Cancellation Takes Effect
Monthly Plans
- Cancel anytime
- Access continues until end of current billing period
- No refund for unused days
Quarterly Plans
- Cancel anytime during the quarter
- Access continues until end of quarterly period
- No partial refunds
Enterprise+ (Annual Contracts)
- Review contract terms
- Contact account manager
- Custom cancellation process
What Happens to Your Data
Immediate Access
- Full access until subscription ends
- Download/export data before expiry
- Save important information
After Cancellation
- Account becomes read-only for 30 days
- Can export data during this period
- Cannot add new candidates or jobs
Data Deletion
- After 30 days: Account archived
- After 90 days: Data deleted permanently
- GDPR-compliant deletion process
Export Your Data
Before cancelling, export:
- Candidate information
- Job listings
- Immigration records
- Company data
Go to Settings > Data > Export for options.
Immigration Applications in Progress
Active Applications
If you have pending permit/visa applications:
- Applications continue processing
- You'll receive outcome notifications
- Document access maintained
Recommendation
- Complete or resolve applications before cancelling
- Discuss transition with your account manager
- Ensure employees aren't affected
Reactivating Your Account
Within 30 Days
- Contact support
- Account restored with data
- Choose new plan
After 30 Days
- Create new account
- Data not recoverable
- Fresh start
Refund Policy
Standard Policy
- No refunds for unused subscription time
- Exceptions considered for:
- Billing errors
- Special circumstances
Requesting a Refund
Contact billing@recruitroo.com with:
- Account email
- Reason for refund request
- Invoice reference (if applicable)
Final Invoice
Your final invoice will show:
- Usage through cancellation date
- Any outstanding amounts
- Applied credits
Pause Option
Instead of cancelling, consider pausing:
How It Works
- Subscription paused (up to 3 months)
- Data fully preserved
- No charges during pause
- Resume when ready
To Pause
1. Go to Settings > Billing
2. Select Pause Subscription
3. Choose pause duration
4. Confirm

- Automatic resume after pause period
- Or resume early in Settings
